ABOUT
DLW Psychology was started by Dr Louise Watson in 2019. Louise is a fully qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Louise has over a decade of clinical experience working with children, adults, families and organisations across East Anglia and London. Louise has experience working within the NHS and private sector.
Louise has specialist experience in providing assessment, consultation and advice to Local Authorities in Social Care and Education, HM Probation Service, and the Family Court. She has experience in providing clinical supervision to a range of professionals, as well as offering training across a variety of settings. Louise has specialist experience in forensic and secure settings, as well as across child, adolescent and family services.
Louise holds an up-to-date Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate and full professional indemnity insurance.

"After so many struggles in accessing support on the NHS, meeting Louise was really a breath of fresh air. The communications were clear and efficient beforehand. On the day of the appointment, I was greeted with a warm welcome and our session took place in a cosy and airy therapy room right at the heart of Bury St Edmunds. I did not feel rushed at any point and was encouraged to speak openly while at the same time following the guidelines needed for the psychological assessment.
It was truly a relief to feel heard and validated and to be able to share my experiences and feelings in such a supportive and empathetic setting. I was also encouraged to reflect on aspects of my life which I might otherwise have failed to mention and was grateful to have the questions guided in such a way as to bring out the information needed to present a clear clinical picture. I highly recommend Louise for an assessment or therapy. Having travelled from Cambridge myself, it is well worth the trip to Bury St Edmunds to meet with such an approachable psychologist and I even enjoyed a little walk around the town and beautiful Abbey gardens afterwards".
